"u' ruozzolo'’ is a cilento dialect term meaning 'to rummage'.
At the end of the chestnut harvest, the peasants generally go to the chestnut groves to collect the last chestnuts, but they have to search them under the colored leaves.
With this experience we’d like to show you how to harvest chestnuts in a proper grove.
In This tour is included a guided visit to Velia Archaeological Park.

end of October and November- weekend
Friday - VELIA ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK
Arrival by your own car at Ascea Marina, at the archeological park of Elea Velia.
At 3 o ‘clock guided tour starts. (visit time about 2h)
Check-in and rooms accommodation.
free dinner.
Saturday - "U Ruozzolo".
Breakfast and departure for the chestnut grove. Ruozzolo activity and break.
Return to the accommodation

Sunday - PAESTUM ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK
Breakfast, check-out and departure.
On the way back free visit to the Archaeological Park of Paestum
