Cilento, one of Campania's most fascinating pearls, offers ideal routes for mountain bikers, thanks to its varied terrain, breathtaking landscapes and rich historical and cultural heritage. This 4-day itinerary over about 200 km runs on roads through centuries-old forests, scenic hills and coastal paths.
The tour includes stops in the most charming historic villages, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy the typical delights of Cilento cuisine
Pedal through the authentic essence of Cilento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with this exciting mountain bike tour that combines sport, culture and breathtaking scenery!
The tour is designed to be covered by electric bike with pedal assist, included in the participation fee.

TOUR PROGRAM:
DAY 1:Paestum - Ceraso
Morning arrival in Paestum. Meet with guide at the entrance of the Paestum Archaeological Museum at 09.45 am. Activities start at 10 am after a short briefing. The tour begins in Paestum, famous for its perfectly preserved Greek temples.
Along the way, we will pass through quaint villages where time seems to stand still. Even stopping to enjoy a coffee in the historic squares will be an experience and you will discover the warm welcome of the locals.
Having passed the most challenging uphill section, the tour gives a long and scenic descent that leads to the village of Ceraso.
Packed lunch provided by participants. Followed by accommodation and dinner.

DAY 2: Ceraso - excavations of Velia
Breakfast at the facility. Strapped on our bikes we set off for the second stage.
A cycling itinerary that will take us to discover a Cilento rich in history and nature. This loop tour, starting and ending in Ceraso, offers a mix of scenic coastal paths and inland routes that wind through centuries-old olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. We will cycle through the ancient streets of Velia, birthplace of the philosopher Parmenides. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Ceraso - Mount Gelbison
Breakfast at the facility and set off on our bikes.
Get ready for a beautiful e-bike excursion that will take you from Ceraso to the summit of the majestic Mount Gelbison, an icon of Cilento.
We will tackle a challenging climb with the help of our e-bike, which will take us to the summit of Mount Gelbison, at over 1700 m
The effort will be repaid by a 360-degree view of Cilento, with the coast stretching to the horizon and the surrounding mountain peaks. Visit to the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte Sacro, a place of worship rich in history and tradition. Packed lunch provided by participants. At the end of the route, return to the facility, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Ceraso - Policastro
This last leg of our journey will take us through an exciting journey, from the green hills of Ceraso to the shores of the picturesque Gulf of Policastro Bussentino.We will face an exciting descent to the coast passing through Pisciotta, a charming Cilento village. As we continue our descent, the landscape gradually transforms, giving way to sea views and fascinating coastal stretches.
We will end our tour in Policastro Bussentino, an ancient seaside town rich in history and traditions, where we can relax on the beach and admire the picturesque gulf.
Packed lunch will be provided by the participants. The tour will end at the historic center of Policastro, where those who wish will be able to reach the nearby train station to return independently.
