COOKING & ART CILENTO and VALLO DI DIANO NATIONAL PARK
Day 1:
Arrival at the hotel and arrangement in the room.
In the afternoon you will take a walk to get to know the host town
During the Welcome Cocktail you will discover the scheduled outdoor activities of the week.
Dinner, free evening and overnight.
Day2:
Breakfast at Hotel. Then you will do the guided tour of the Archaeological Park of Elea-Velia. Elea was a very important cultural centre and its inhabitants included some of the most famous philosophers of the age such as Parmenides, who was the founder of the Philosophical School of Elea, and Zeno. Here you will visit the ruins of the city, with its two exhibition areas, the Acropolis, the Districts and the "Pink Gate," a rare exemplar of a Greek arch of about 4th century BC.
Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Pioppi.
In Pioppi you will visit the Vinciprova Palace, where you can visit the two exhibition areas: the Mediterranean Diet "Angel Keys" Museum and the Living Sea Museum.
After the visit you will return to the Hotel, free dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Breakfast at hotel. Then you will start the day with a wonderful hiking to the discovery of herbs in Cilento.

Dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Padula, where you will visit the Carthusian monastery of St.Lawrence.
In the afternoon departure for Roccagloriosa. Here you will visit the Archaeological Park dating at 4th century BC, when the village was built by the old Leukanians, one of the most combative Italic peoples, who collided hard with the Greeks and the Romans. You can find numerous artefacts held in the two Antiquarium inside the country. The found objects in tombs belong to groups of aristocrats lucani, lovers of Greek myths that were depicted on vases in support of the tombs.
Return to the hotel, free dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Breakfast at hotel. Free day.
We suggest visiting the coast with Boat ride (weather permitting) with departures from Scario or Marina di Camerota Marine Protected Area.
Cooking class "Cilentan Fusilli" (typical homemade pasta of Cilento).
Dinner and overnight
Day 6:
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to Paestum. In Paestum you will visit the Archaeological Park and the National Museum, with an English guide.
Then you will visit a buffalo mozzarella factory, in which you will see you how mozzarella is made and a lot of other interesting things. Lunch in the restaurant.
Return to the hotel. Dinner, free time and overnight
Day 7:
Breakfast at hotel.
Activit: walking among chestnuts with departure from the small village of Catona in search of the best ingredients for the cooking class.
Cooking Class “Pastorelle”
The "pastorelle" are traditional desserts made with chestnuts and they are prepared at Christmas time.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 8:
Breakfast at hotel and return to own destination.
